Hey residents of the Parkside and Residence commons, are you sick of being forced to eat Asian on Monday or Mexican on Tuesday? What about the rice bowl bar on Wednesday? Wouldn't you love to have the option to pick what you're actually hungry for on whatever day of the week it is? Then I hope you're sticking around for a few more semesters...

Both dining halls are about to get a $3 million renovation that will transform the look of the halls, as well as upgrade the menu that will feature individual food stations that will provide a variety of different foods on the same night.

"We want to update the look and feel of the dining halls to reflect current trends in university dining, and to enhance the menu to accommodate current trends of exhibition cooking and to offer a variety of meal types that appeal to today's students," Carol Roberts-Corb, Housing Director, said to the daily 49er.

The upgraded dining halls are expected to reflect the Residential Learning College's dining area and boast a remodeled kitchen area and gain new equipment, such as TVs.

Parkside dining hall is expected to be remodeled in the Summer 2013 and Residence in Summer 2014.
